Hook & Hole Challenge Guatemala 2027

Golf. Fishing. Guatemala. One unforgettable challenge.

Experience Guatemala through two of its most exciting sporting experiences in one action-packed five-day journey. The 3rd Annual Hook & Hole Challenge combines an 18-hole golf tournament at Mayan Golf Club with two days of competitive sport fishing on Guatemala's Pacific Coast.

Your adventure begins in historic Antigua Guatemala with a welcome dinner and meet-and-greet, continues with tournament golf overlooking Guatemala's volcanic landscape, and finishes on the Pacific Coast with two full days on the water.

April 21–25, 2027 | 5 Days / 4 Nights | Guatemala

The Sailfish Capital of the World

Guatemala’s Pacific Coast is internationally renowned for its exceptional billfishing, particularly its remarkably consistent sailfish action. The waters off the coast are home to Pacific sailfish, blue marlin, dorado (mahi-mahi), and yellowfin tuna, making this one of the premier sport-fishing destinations in the world.

During the Hook & Hole Challenge, participants will enjoy two full days of tournament fishing aboard Pacific Fins’ tournament-ready sport-fishing boats, supported by experienced captains and crews. Pacific Fins provides professional tackle and natural bait, and its fleet is specifically equipped for offshore tournament fishing.

Guatemala’s distinctive offshore geography is an important part of the experience. Much of the fishing takes place around a deep underwater canyon known as “The Pocket,” with productive waters sometimes beginning only 12–15 miles offshore. Pacific Fins also follows catch-and-release practices for billfish, using circle hooks as part of its conservation approach.

For the Hook & Hole Challenge, it’s the perfect transition from competition on the fairways to competition on the open Pacific—one golf tournament, two days of fishing, and one uniquely Guatemalan sporting adventure.

Mayan Golf Club

Set amid Guatemala’s dramatic volcanic landscape, Mayan Golf Club offers a distinctive golf experience combining natural beauty with a challenging course. Its elevated setting provides spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes, creating a memorable backdrop for the 18-hole Hook & Hole Challenge golf tournament.

Camino Real Antigua

Located in the heart of historic Antigua Guatemala, Camino Real Antigua combines colonial-inspired architecture with modern comfort and warm Guatemalan hospitality. Its elegant courtyards, gardens, and traditional design provide an ideal setting to begin the Hook & Hole Challenge, while its convenient location makes it easy to experience the charm, restaurants, and historic atmosphere of Antigua before heading to the golf course and Pacific Coast.

Pacific Fins Resort

Set along Guatemala’s renowned Pacific Coast, Pacific Fins Resort will be your home for the fishing portion of the Hook & Hole Challenge. Designed around the sport-fishing experience, the resort combines comfortable accommodations, relaxed tropical surroundings, dining, and convenient access to the Pacific waters where the two-day tournament will take place.

Golf Tournament at Mayan Golf Club
